Statistics, the set of 21 consecutive victories comes to an end: this is the second best e

After the defeat 3-1 on Sunday night vs Civitanova at BLM Group Arena the set of consecutive victories of Trentino Volley has come to an end, closing with the 21th. This list of victories was achieved over two months and a half, beginning in Trento on the 7th of November 2018 with the success 3-0 vs Latina and ending on the 16th of January 2019 (home victory vs Haching in CEV Cup). We are talking about the second best set ever, achieved during 18 years and a half of the team’s history: only in the season 2012/13 they did even better gaining 26 victories and conquering the championship. During this period they have won in three different events: five matches in the World Club Cup 2019, four in 2019 CEV Cup and twelve in SuperLega Credem Banca 2018/19. The whole statistics further enhance the value of Lorenzetti’s team career, since they won once times scoring 3-0, eight times 3-1 and twice in the tie break, reaching a total of 63 won sets and just 12 sets gained by the opponents (ratio 5,25).
It seems weird that the last defeat has been vs Civitanova, which was the last opponent to beat Trento (the last 4th of November 2018, one round ago) and they had won at BLM Group Arena in Trento (on 12th April 2018). The internal reverse has made so that the World Champions lost their first position selling it to Perugia, which however still remains just one point away.
