Giannelli: “The group won match 3. In Civitanova even more focused"

The great comeback against Cucine Lube Civitanova on Monday night at BLM Group Arena during match 3 of the Play Off Scudetto Semifinal gave Itas Trentino the chance to fight another match. On the 52nd match of the season the World Champions are going to play again in Civitanova, match scheduled on April 25th at 6pm, live streaming on Radio Dolomiti and Lega Volley Channel. In view of the next challenge, the team is back to training with a later afternoon session in the weight room and another session on Wednesday morning before leaving.
“Every match has its own history: it doesn’t mean the previous game influences the next one - underlined Captain Simone Giannelli at the end of match 3 talking with Radio Dolomiti - . We did a good job, we never stopped believing even in the darkest hour; after losing the first two matches we proved we want to continue the fight. Cucine Lube is a terrific opponent, but we always managed to keep close and give our best. I’d like to thank my teammates for what we did in match 3: they all did so much, all of them. After a victory everyone talks about “team spirit” without really meaning it: today we proved we have it, we suffered together, we fought back and didn’t give up. We achieved something that was not taken for granted: we are play match 4”.
“On Thursday we are playing again in Civitanova, even more focused and giving all we’ve got, it won’t mean we’ll automatically win 3-0 at Eurosuole Forum. I understand the enthusiasm of the fans, but we want to keep a low profile, bearing in mind that Itas Trentino is still in Semifinal series and will fight until the end”.
