Itas Trentino fights for three sets against Padua in Sedico

The first official test match of the 2019/20 season reserves a stop to a still incomplete Trentino Itas. However, with a team still without seven elements out of thirteen, Itas Trentino presented itself at the appointment in Belluno at the PalaRicolt in Sedico with an experimental sextet, which could only count on five athletes who will actually play the upcoming season. Despite all this, Daldello and his teammates fought for the entire duration of the match with a team (Padua) with fewer absences and with three real matches already behind them.
Lorenzetti alternated Vettori (9 points in a set and a half) and Djuric (6) in the opposite role, but in the end the best scorer of the yellow-blue team was Codarin, full of energies in the center with four blocks, one ace and 50% in the first time. In the net area, interesting also Sosa Sierra who has shown on this occasion to be quickly get used to the change of role. Another middle-blocker stands out in the Kioene: Volpato, best scorer with 13 points and 85% in attack. Beyond the result, which in this initial phase of the season always counts in a relative manner, and the progress highlighted by the team, the test with Padova had an important solidarity purpose, allowing to raise funds for the Autism Group of Belluno, that has been working for years to offer support to autistic individuals in their individual growth. The match “Tutti in campo per l’autismo” (name of the match in Italian) will therefore be remembered precisely for its great beneficial meaning and for the great participation of the public (PalaRicolt sold out).
