Preparation, end of the seventh week

This morning's physical session at the weight room of the BLM Group Arena concluded the seventh week of pre-season preparation period for Itas Trentino. A period marked by five training sessions and two test matches (Tuesday in Piacenza, Thursday in Trento with the Belgian team Leuven), but especially by the return of the team's captain Simone Giannelli. The setter was the first of the players who came back from the recent European Championship to put himself at the disposal of the technical staff; starting from Monday afternoon, when the eighth week of activity starts, Angelo Lorenzetti will also be able to count on other four national volleyballers: the Slovenian spiker Klemen Cebulj, the French libero Jenia Grebennikov and the Serbian spiker Uros Kovacevic and middle blocker Srecko Lisinac will be arriving in Trento during this weekend. After a week off they are ready to start the regular season with Itas trentino shirts.
“Thanks to the arrival of these four athletes, a new part of our pre-championship preparation has begun - said Lorenzetti - ; for what concerns next week, during the first days we will have not only to examine their physical condition, but also consider that they worked out intensively for a month and a half. We prepared ourselves to greet the “Nationals” so that their physical level doesn’t get worse; we expect them to help us out.”
