The beginning of Trento is very efficient in the break point phase; Vettori immediately takes charge of the situation and the score arrives up to 5-1 and then 7-4, also helped by Kovacevic. The hosts try to replicate with Ter Horst (9-7), but a slash of Uros after an excellent Cebulj’s service and another counterattack allow a new advantage of the yellow-blue team (13-8). The team from Romagna do not give up and with Vernon-Evans at the service they reach their opponents (15-14). A new help from the 2019 European MVP was necessary to get away from the opponents (21-17). However, it is not enough. Ravenna performs a comeback (22-22) with two Ter Horst’s aces. Itas Trentino wins on the fourth opportunity (28-26), thanks to an error in attack made by the same Dutch.
The team starts well in the second set, taking advantage of the services of Vettori and Kovacevic (7-4, 10-7) and they are confirmed also in the central part (12-8) above all thanks to the efficiency of Lisinac at the net zone (14-10). Even the Trentino block grows and makes the team from Ravenna (17-12, 20-12), who starts to make a lot of mistakes. During the final of the set there are no difficulties for the World Champions led by Cebulj who go quickly to the 2-0 (25-15).
In the third set, in which the Consar strives to remain in the wake of the guests (3-1, 7-6); however, after the break the Itas Trentino have the edge over the Consar (11-8). The hosts rely almost exclusively on Ter Horst, find the parity at 17 precisely with the Dutch, but then raise their heads under the blows of Lisinac and Kovacevic (25-21).
