Towards the Supercoppa 2019, Trentino Volley in its ninth final on ten editions

The formula changes, the opponents alternate, but Trentino Volley remains the only constant. At the end of this week, at the Eurosuole Forum in Civitanova Marche, Trentino Volley will open its ninth participation in the last ten editions of the Final of the Italian Supercoppa.
Since 2016, the formula has been changed: it gives space to four teams in the semi-finals on the first day (Friday 1st of November) and the Finale played the next one (in this case only for the first place) as it happens for Coppa Italia. The experiment, proposed at the PalaPanini in 2016, at the Eurosuole Forum in Civitanova Marche in 2017 and at the PalaBarton in Perugia in 2018 has been successful and therefore has been proposed for this occasion as well.
In addition to the fourth final places registered in the 2016 and 2017 editions and to the second place in 2018, the previous events for Trentino Volley are linked to the games in Florence in 2008 (0-3 against Lube), Turin in 2010 (0-3 against Cuneo), Cagliari in 2011 (3-1 against Cuneo), Modena in 2012 and 2015 (2-3 against Lube and 2-3 against Modena) and Trento in 2013 (3-0 still against): two victories on nine participations. The match that will be played the next weekend will improve Trentino Volley’s leadership in the history of the competition: no company had taken part in so many finals within a few years. Treviso, for example, had been protagonist five times on six consecutive seasons between 1996 (edition number 1) and 2001.
