Giannelli: “We played an high-level match during Supercoppa, let us focus on...”

Sunday, a day’s work in the gym for Itas Trentino, in the morning as well as late in the afternoon. Just one day off after the semifinal of Del Monte® Supercoppa 2019 played in Civitanova against Perugia for Itas Trentino, that got back to training at the BLM Group Arena to get ready for the upcoming appointment, scheduled for Wednesday, 6th November in Reggio Calabria.
“The match we played against the team that won the trophy on Friday night, provided us with a number of suggestions, most of which are positive - explained the captain Simone Giannelli to Trentino Volley Tv - . We maintained the level of our playing high for most of the time, but that has not been enough, because Perugia proved itself to be ahead of us. To fill the gap we must make the most out of training days like the one of today, days in which we can stay in the gym and work calmly but, at the same time, with the will of improving all together, as a group. We did well by blocking and and also during the side-out phase and by attacking, but that has not been enough. We have spoken about it today in the morning, before starting training and we are even more convinced of what we have to do. We are ready to make some sacrifices and change our habits to go one step further”.
“There are not easy matches during SuperLega, especially the away ones and this also applies to Tonno Callipo Vibo Valentia’s court, making its home debut - added Giannelli by presenting the upcoming appointment in Vibo Valentia - . It will be a difficult match, a new challenge”.
Itas Trentino is going to train at the BLM Group Arena also on Monday’s morning, on Tuesday in the morning it will leave for the longest trip of its whole regular season.
