Itas Trentino ends first half of SuperLega with a 1-3 home loss versus Lube

The first half of 2019/20 SuperLega Credem Banca ends with a home setback for Itas Trentino. In the rescheduled match of the tenth round of the regular season, played tonight in front of a sold-out BLM Group Arena for the second time this season, the team is defeated for 1-3 versus Cucine Lube at the end of a match full of emotions and exciting plays, especially in its first half. The new World Champions clinched the win, after suffering the verve of the hosts between attack and serving phases in the opening set (however won at the advantages) and then in the second set, they were able to take over the reins of the match thanks to a very solid blocking phase and to a playstyle that setter Bruno has made varied and unpredictable. Aaron Russell was among the last to give up, scoring 22 points with two blocks and 49% attacking, but also Kovacevic (16 points) and Lisinac (11 points with 4 block and 67% attacking) showed important plays. This defeat makes Itas Trentino slide to fifth place in the league standings, a position that will force it to play the quarter-final of 2020 Del Monte® Coppa Italia on 22nd or 23rd January on the court of Allianz Milano (which climbed to fourth place right this evening).
