Champions League, the Jastrzebski remains in Poland

Today’s morning, the Jastrzebski Wegiel has confirmed to the CEV that won’t be in Italy to compete for the match of the first round of the quarter finals of the 2020 CEV Champions League, planned for the 5th March in Trento. In contrast with the notification published on Tuesday, the CEV has decided only to postpone to a future date the match and not to assign it for 3-0 by default to Trentino Volley, as provided for in Regulation, because a polish health authority has put in place very  restrictive measurers towards those who enter in Poland arriving form Italy. Trentino Volley was amazed by the change of plan of the CEV, complaining about a management of the issue absolutely vague and incomprehensible by the Federation itself. Trentino Volley understands the difficulties that the current situation related to the Coronavirus implicates, but do not understands why only Italian teams should suffer the consequences, when this emergency is, unfortunately, present all over the European territory and beyond.
