Giannelli at Sportitalia:"Playing with the Trentino Volley jersey is a great pride for me"

Simone Giannelli has been protagonist this afternoon on the television network Sportitalia, la tv dello sport (channel 60 DTTV). Main guest of the program "#ISTAYHOME", the Captain of Trentino Volley answered to the many questions posed by the presenters Alessio Milone and Orazio Accomando and to those arrived by the audience.
"I'm going through a period of quarantine that seems to never end - explained the South Tyrolean setter - ; I'm spending it being a university student. I study morning and afternoon and then I continue to train at home. The first thing I will do when you can really move around is to visit my family in Bolzano and the barbershop: I really need it. I started my sports career playing tennis and skiing; volleyball came later and only thanks to my sister who was already playing in a team in the city. Maybe when I quit volleyball, I'll go back to tennis..."
"Playing for Trentino Volley is always a pride for me - Giannelli answered an accurate question - . With this Club I followed the path in the youth sector and then I arrived in the first team; I grew up as a man and as an athlete. It's one of the most important Clubs in Volleyball world and it's among those that won the most. Becoming a captain is a fortune but also a pride and a responsibility. I will always be grateful to President Mosna and all the staff for what they have done and are still doing for me. Lorenzetti? He's made an important contribution to changing the way I play and filling some technical gaps that I had - and still have. In the last season, for example, I've worked a lot on defence because it's a fundamental thing that I'm not that good at, and because I'm convinced that to be a leader you need to keep an extra ball in play. The example from this point of view comes from Bruno. The thing I prefer? Serve the central, especially with the ball detached from the net".
