De Angelis: "Mature and united group, especially after the defeat in Monza"

“What we have just put behind us was a troubled week, difficult and always played away; after the defeat in Monza we found the strength to get up even though there was very little time to restart: we were good at not looking back - explained the libero Carlo De Angelis speaking on Monday evening during the episode of “RTTR Volley” - . Playing right away also helped us from this point of view; we immediately took our responsibilities, we rolled up our sleeves and in Switzerland we found the reaction we wanted in the match against Dinamo Moscow. The climate in the locker room has always been good, even when heavy or unexpected knock outs have arrived. We have been working together for the whole summer and a beautiful chemistry has been created, there is the right harmony. In the previous weeks we may have been stuck with the results not arriving and the development of the game has suffered. In the last three games, however, we have broken free, even if the litmus test is definitely Thursday's match against Modena”.
"The reaction shown in the final of the fourth set on Sunday evening in Latina was very important - underlined the player from Lazio who grew up in the giallo-blù youth sector -. In this league there are no obvious games or easy opponents; you can never play lightly because no one allows you to, as evidenced by the missteps made with Verona and Monza. We had too many ups and downs in the same match and this affected our results considerably. In the standings Civitanova and Perugia have already made a void, starting well; however, we have the means to get back on top, but unfortunately in the last period we actually never trained, because we have always been on the road. That's why the sessions of Tuesday and Wednesday this week will be very important. We have great potential and we cannot hide it. We can get to the end of both the league and the Champions League, as we have now qualified. The current situation? We want to continue playing as long as there is the possibility to do so, even if playing without an audience is not pleasant. Also for this reason, Thursday's A22 derby with Modena will be absolutely special but we are still very motivated."
