Consar Ravenna-Itas Trentino 1-3, the match report

The match report. Itas Trentino shows up at Pala De Andrè confirming the same starting six for the sixth consecutive time: Giannelli as setter, Nimir opposite spiker, Michieletto and Lucarelli spikers, Podrascanin and Lisinac middle-blockers, Rossini libero. Ravenna responds with Batak as setter, Pinali opposite spiker, Loeppky and Recine in place 4, Mengozzi and Arasomwan in the center and Kovacic libero. The start sees Trentino immediately ahead, thanks to an ace from Nimir and a counterattack from Lucarelli (4-1); the hosts respond with Mengozzi, which first equalize the score at seven and then takes the lead (7-8). Giannelli, however, is on the ball and distributes well (on Michieletto, Nimir and Podrascanin) the break opportunities that yield the +4 (14-10). After Bonitta's time out, Itas Trentino continues to dominate the field (16-10, 21-15), without finding major problems in expressing their game. Loeppky creates some chellenges in service (21-18), but Lorenzetti interrupting the game clears up the ideas, then Itas Trentino closes at 25-20, with some great actions of Michieletto and Podrascanin.
Consar tries to react after the change of field with Pinali beating hard from the nine-meter line (0-3), but the guests take it back immediately with Nimir in attack and Michieletto in service (4-3). Ravenna has another starting point with Loeppky in service and with Lucarelli in difficulty in reception and then also in attack (4-8); Lorenzetti's time out in this case has only partially positive results, because the Itas Trentino with Nimir goes back to minus two (8-10), before giving way to a new Romagna thrust, led by Recine (ace) and Loeppky (attack for 9-14). The giallo-blù team later makes a lot of mistakes, quickly leaving room for the Ravenna players which fly towards 1-1 very quickly (13-20 and 18-25).
The third set begins with balance (4-4, 6-6), but in the central part the giallo-blù team raise the quality of the defensive system, a situation that produces break point opportunities that Nimir exploits immediately (10-6). Subsequently, Itas Trentino spreads, again at the hands of their opposite spiker, which begins to offend even with the service (two consecutive aces for 17-9). The 2-1 winger therefore arrives very soon, because Nimir does not stop, to the full advantage of Lucarelli who returns to attack effectively: 20-10 and then 25-13.
Lorenzetti's team has a great desire to take home the three points and it shows it in the fourth set, going up immediately from 2-4 to 5-4 with Lucarelli still protagonist. Then Trentino scores three blocks with Podrascanin (8-6), Michieletto (11-8) and Giannelli (12-8) to further widen the gap. Trento is launched towards 3-1 (16-11), Ravenna tries to reach them until 18-15, but then the game definitively closes (21-16, 25-19).
