Itas Trentino qualifies for the final of 2021 Supercup: 3-0 on Perugia

The new run of Trentino Volley immediately opens with the possibility of playing the match that awards a title for the season 2021/22. This evening, Itas Trentino ensures this chance with an unbelievable accomplishment at the Eurosuole Forum: in the arena in which so far it has won only one out of the eighteen previous official games, the yellow-blue have overcome by 3-0 Sir Safety Conad Perugia, the defending champion in the second semifinal of Del Monte® Super Cup 2021.
The pass for the eighth final of the corporate history in a single competition (the latest was played in 2018 in Perugia, thanks to a win on the Umbrians in the semifinal), the thirty-sixth ever for the yellow-blue Club, arrived at the end of a performance that has confirmed all the potentialities of the new team composed by the yellow-blue management. Angelo Lorenzetti’s team was initially very good at withstanding the opponent’s jump services, for then progressively and more and more forcefully taking the reins, with a play system very precise and attentive between block and defence, and ruthless during the break point phase, where Kaziyski, Lavia (11 points with 50%), but also Michieletto (10) and Podrascanin (100% in the first half with three blocks) have done excellent things, taking away more certainties to the Umbrian play. On the shields, apart from Matey (15 points with 48% in attack and three blocks), also the great leadership of Sbertoli and the very consistent performance in the second line of Zenger.
To compete for the win of the title (eventually the nineteenth ever of the yellow-blue Club) is Vero Volley Monza (which surprisingly won the first semifinal by 3-1 against the hosts of Civitanova) on Sunday 24 October at 16 (live on RAI 2).
