Vero Volley Monza-Itas Trentino 1-3, the match report

The match report. Angelo Lorenzetti lines up his Itas Trentino with all three spikers, with Lavia as opposite spiker and the couple Kaziyski-Michieletto as spikers. To complete the starting six the Serbian middle blockers Lisinac-Podrascanin and the German libero Zenger. Vero Volley responds with Orduna as setter, Grozer as opposite spiker, Dzavoronok and Davyskiba as spikers, Galassi and Grozdanov as middle blockers, Federici libero. The start of the match is in favour of the yellow-blue: Kaziyski gives the first break (2-0), imitated shortly after by Lisinac (block on Grozer) and Lavia; on the score of 6-2, Eccheli is forced to call a time-out. At the restart of the game, the situation doesn’t change, but it improves for Trento thanks to Michieletto and Podrascanin (11-4). In the second part of the set, Itas Trentino takes over, strong and aware of a play that improves minute after minute, as shows the score of 17-7, 20-10, and the definitive 25-11.
Monza tries to jump away at the start of the second set (4-4), but Lisinac and Michieletto corner it (7-4). Kaziyski is on fire and leads the team to +4 (11-7), forcing the opponents to another time-out. Grozer tries to wake up his teammates: his turn at service scores the tie (11-11). Lorenzetti’s team isn’t discouraged and responds well with Lavia and Michieletto (17-14). In the final part, it takes advantage of Kaziyski to go to 2-0 (25-21), keeping at distance the opponent.
The third set opens in favour of Monza, which with Dzavoronok and Galassi destroys Trento reception (2-5); the yellow-blue don’t give up and tie (9-9), using Lavia at the net. Galassi, at block, offers a new burst of speed to the opponents (9-12); Lorenzetti calls a time-out, and at the restart finds the desired answer in Lisinac (12-12). After, it’s Michieletto, at block, who signs the first important advantage in the third set (16-14), but Grozer inverts the score with the service (18-20). The block of Podrascanin scores the new tie (20-20); from there on the two teams remain close, alternating in command. Trento doesn’t use the three consecutive occasions to close the match (from 24-23 to 26-26); Monza turns the situation around with Grozer, but it has to wait the seventh occasion to reopens the game on 31-33, with the winning slash of Galassi.
Learnt the lesson, Itas Trentino gets off a flying start in the fourth set, with the blocks of Kaziyski on Grozer (3-1) and the ace of Sbertoli (8-3). Monza isn’t able to respond in a convincing way and Trento flies (11-4) even more certain and relaxed towards its third Super Cup of the history, which arrives on 25-14 with a block of Sbertoli.
