HERE ITAS TRENTINO Earning the first place in the ranking thanks to the three points won on Sunday in the big match with Cucine Lube, the yellow-blue formation prepares to defend its position in the first match of a November that, among already scheduled games and possible anticipations in view of the World Cup per Clubs, is rich of appointments.
“With the match of last Sunday against Civitanova, we have inaugurated a particularly intense period, which in the following month will see us on the field every three days – said the coach Angelo Lorenzetti - . We need to pay close attention and have the right attitude at every appointment, starting from the one on Wednesday evening with Padova, a team that has quickly found the right teamwork to win important matches like the ones with Cisterna and Ravenna, and for this reason it can play this game with a freer mind.”
The team will complete the preparation for the second consecutive home game, the third seasonal, by undergoing a session this afternoon and one the morning of tomorrow. On this occasion, Trentino Volley will play its 897th match and hunt the 328th home success, the 628th ever.
THE OPPONENTS Fresh from two wins in the games for the salvation (smallest seasonal goal) with Cisterna and Ravenna, Kioene Padova arrives in Trento full of enthusiasm and with a reassuring loot of points that places it in the fifth place of the ranking. Except for the debut match with Civitanova (defeat by 0-3), Jacopo Cuttini’s formation succeeded in always obtaining the win, showing the qualities of the new attackers Loeppky (former of Ravenna) and Weber (former of Milano), and the talented spiker Bottolo, grown at home. The first three matches have shown how the Venetian regulars focus on block and especially service. With 26 scored aces, the white-black are the first in the performance ranking of this fundamental, in which there is also Vitelli. In the starting six, it’s to be emphasized how the new German setter Zimmerman has soon found an understanding with his teammates, and the presence of other two players grown in the white-black nursey like the middle blocker Volpato and the libero Mattia Gottardo, fresh Champion of the World Under 21 with the Italy jersey.
