SuperLega, Padova wins: Itas Trentino surrenders but remains in the lead

After five consecutive wins, Itas Trentino has to deal with the first setback of its season 2021/22. This evening, at the BLM Group Arena, the yellow-blue have surrendered at the tie break against Kioene Padova in the match valid for the fourth round of regular season SuperLega Credem Banca.
The home defeat arrived at the end of an exciting and full of turning points match: the yellow-blue started it in the best of ways, playing a first set of big solidity, then Michieletto’s injury (problem at the right ankle during the second set - to be evaluated in the next few hours) has changed the terms midway and given new strength to Padova that has fought tooth and nail and shown great attitude, winning the second, third, and fifth sets. Without an important reference point like Michieletto, Itas Trentino vacillated but continued to play, going in any case one step away from the win, but no longer being able to be determined and decisive to the end. In front of an extraordinary Bottolo (24 points, MVP of the match) and a decisive Weber (22 points), Trento has anyway responded to the end with 18 points of Pinali (in the starting six, regular for the whole game), 17 of Kaziyski, and 6 of Podrascanin. The yellow-blue remain in the lead of the ranking with 10 points, now paired up with Piacenza and Monza.
