SuperLega, on wednesday a new away-game: the guide to Consar Rcm-Itas Trentino

On Wednesday 10 November, at the Pala De André in Ravenna, it’s played one of the two matches that Trentino Volley has to anticipate in order to participate, between 7 and 11 December, the World Cup per Clubs 2021 in Brazil. On this occasion, the yellow-blue formation will be on stage in Romagna to face the hosts of Consar RCM in the match valid for the eleventh round of regular season (originally scheduled on 8 December). The kickoff is at 20.30: live on Radio Dolomiti and live streaming on OTT Volleyball World Tv.
HERE ITAS TRENTINO After two consecutive defeats, Kaziyski and teammates want to turn page and find again the success in the third away game of the championship of the new season.
“We are fresh from a week that obviously we didn’t like for the given results, but we knew that even such period is part of our run and has to help us grow. We are ready to restart, trying to draw the right teachings by the obtained defeats – said the coach of Trentino Volley Angelo Lorenzetti at the eve - . On Wednesday, we find to wait for us a team like Ravenna that, even though it’s completely renewed compared to the last season, has shown to have its say against every opponent. We need to approach the match with attention and determination, because at stakes there are important points for both.”
The yellow-blue coach still has to do without Alessandro Michieletto (out due to a sprain to the ankle suffered last Wednesday in the match with Padova) and will most likely confirm the starting six presented in Perugia on Sunday evening, with Pinali as opposite spiker and Lavia as spiker (both formers of turn) to propose diagonally to Kaziyski. Itas Trentino arrives in Ravenna already this evening, after having undergone the training with ball in the first afternoon at the BLM Group Arena. The match on Sunday is the 899th official of the history of the yellow-blue Club and will see the yellow-blue hunting for the 628th win, the 301st away, the 374th in regular season.
THE OPPONENTS For the first time, the success of Verona by 3-2 on Taranto on Sunday evening has relegated Consar RCM Ravenna to the last place in the ranking of SuperLega. Ravenna, coached by Emanuele Zanini (returning to the Italian championship after three seasons away), started well its regular seasons by winning immediately a valuable point in Piacenza, but then it wasn’t able to move a single step in the ranking. A difficulty absolutely justified by the many changes of the team made in the summer, in which only two players of last season have remained: the young players Orioli (spiker) and Pirazzoli (libero). All other thirteen elements are new, even though in the entry-operations it’s reported the returns of Goi as libero and the Dutch opposite spiker Klapwijk. Their experience will be useful for a starting six in which all the others are, in actual fact, at their first experience at high levels in SuperLega, like the Polish setter Biernat (who became regular due to the injury suffered in Padova by Peslac), the Slav spikers Vukasinovic and Ljaftov, and the middle blockers Erati (a career in A2) and Fusaro (picked up from Padova). On the bench of Ravenna, it’s to be reported also the presence of a face loved by the yellow-blue fans like the one of Leondino Giombini, the first opposite spiker of the history of Trentino Volley and absolute driving force in the seasons 2000/01 and 2001/02 (56 attendances and 1,116 points).
PREVIOUS MATCHES This is going to be the twenty-first match between the two Companies, which have begun to face each other with continuity starting from the season 2011/12. The report is clearly in favour of the yellow-blue for 18-2, but the only successes of Consar are quite recent: 25 October 2017 by 3-0 at the Pala De André in the fourth from last match played in Ravenna (the latest has been won by Trento by 3-1 on 30 December 2020), and 3 February 2016 in the tie break at the BLM Group Arena. In all other cases, only wins arrived for Trento: by 3-1 (six times, including the most recent in Trento on 6 February 2021) and by 3-0 (twelve). Trentino Volley has origins from Ravenna: in May 2000, the President at that time Diego Mosna acquired the rights of Serie A1 from Valleverde Porto, already winner of a championship and three CEV European Champions Cups in the ninety.
THE REFEREES The match will be directed by Alessandro Cerra (from Bologna, in Serie A from 2014) and Rossella Piana (from Carpi - Modena, of role from 2005 and international from 2014), respectively at the fourth and third game of their season. For Cerra, the last previous match with Trentino Volley dates back to 9 December 2020 (home win with Modena in three sets), while for Piana it corresponds to the Final of Super Cup 2021, played on Sunday 24 October in Civitanova and won by 3-1 on Monza.
RADIO, INTERNET, AND TV The match will have a full live coverage by Radio Dolomiti, network partner of Trentino Volley. The frequencies can be found on www.radiodolomiti.com, where it’s possible to listen to the radio commentary in streaming.
There is also the live streaming on OTT "Volleyball World Tv" (paid service). For more information about the service: www.welcome.volleyballworld.tv/faq-it.
