Consar RCM Ravenna-Itas Trentino 0-3, the match report

Match report. Itas Trentino took to the court at Pala De Andrè with the same players that had started the match in Perugia only three days before: Sbertoli as setter, Pinali as opposite spiker, Kaziyski and Lavia as wing spiker (Michieletto is still out due to injury), Lisinac and Podrascanin in the middle, Zenger as libero. Consar RCM responds with Biernat as setter, Klapwijk as opposite spiker, Urlich and Vukasinovic as wing spiker, Erati and Comparoni in the middle, Goi as libero. The guests are the ones who get off to a better start with Lavia capitalizing on two break point opportunities on 5-5 to get his team on 7-5 and force the home team to time out. When the game restarts, it's Lisinac who controls, once again assisted by the Calabrian 4th place (10-6); Trento melts away the tension gains more and more personality (13-9 and 17-10), also involving Pinali in the game (two consecutive aces). The opposite attacker from Emilia enters the game and leads Itas Trentino to the final part of the first set, played in absolute control (21-11 and 25-16).
Things don't change in the second half, with Trento immediately incisive on serve and effective in attack with Pinali (4-1). Ravenna seems to be at the edge of the ring but reacts mainly with its service: three aces (one each by Vukasinovic, Biernat and Urlich) quickly turn the situation around (9-11), forcing Lorenzetti to ask for a time out. At the restart, Lavia scores a point shot and Lisinac walls Urlich, turning the situation upside down again (14-12); Consar RCM reacts again up to 14-14 and then 20-21 with Vukasinovic, after Kaziyski makes it 19-16 with an attack and an ace. At the sprint, the yellow-blue team gets the better of the situation, thanks again to Pinali (break point 22-21) and Vukasinovic's attack error at the first set point (25-23).
After that, Itas Trentino started off strong in the third period (3-0, 6-3 and 11-6), taking full advantage of the scoring streak of a great Pinali and the attention on the block by Sbertoli (block on Vukasinovic for 13-6). Ravenna is no longer able to react and the set, as well as the match, moves quickly towards its conclusion, which comes on 25-12 with an attack by Podrascanin after Pinali had previously put down several in the second half of the set.
