SuperLega, sunday back on court at BLM Group Arena for the 6th round

SuperLega Credem Banca 2021/22 back on court this weekend for the sixth round of the regular season. After two consecutive away games, Itas Trentino will be back to play in the BLM Group Arena, awaiting the visit of Vero Volley Monza in the remake of the recent Final of the Del Monte® Supercup 2021. Live broadcast on Radio Dolomiti and live streaming on the OTT Volleyball World Tv platform.
HERE ITAS TRENTINO Having regained the victory and the top position in the rankings thanks to the 3-0 win in Ravenna on Wednesday night, the yellow-blue team now faces another important home test against one of the strongest teams at the moment.
"Regaining the victory with Consar was important for many reasons, including being able to arrive at Sunday's match against Monza with a renewed morale - explained coach Angelo Lorenzetti - . It's a match that puts heavy points up for grabs, also in relation to the race for the Final Eight of the Italian Cup; we'll face it to the maximum of our current possibilities, without forgetting, however, that the regular season must be used to develop our qualities and not to finish all our energy. The in or out games will come only later and it is there that we will have to be at 100%. To stand up to a team so organized and with agreements already well established as Vero Volley we will have to play a high level of volleyball, starting from the second line, then with service and block".
In view of Sunday's match, the good news for the coach is the return of Alessandro Michieletto, who will be back among the thirteen players available; the young attacker has already resumed training with the team on Friday evening, showing that he has recovered from the ankle injury of last November 3th in the match against Padova. Sunday's match will be the ninth official commitment of the season for Trentino Volley and will see the yellow-blue go in search of the 328th home win, the 375th in the regular season.
900th OFFICIAL MATCH OF TRENTINO VOLLEY It will be a significant day for Trentino Volleyball, regardless of the result; on this occasion, the Club from via Trener will cut the ribbon of 900 official matches in its twenty-year history. The club has won 628 of the 899 matches already played: 327 within the friendly walls of the BLM Group Arena (PalaTrento), and 301 away games. The most frequent result was 3-0, achieved on 328 occasions. The most frequent defeat, on the other hand, was 1-3 (108 times). In total, Trentino Volleyball has played 531 SuperLega regular season matches ( Serie A1), 124 Scudetto playoff matches, 2 5th place playoff matches, 17 Italian Super Cup matches, 43 Coppa Italia matches, while in 182 cases it has played in an international competition (38 times in the Club World Cup, 104 in the Champions League, 3 in the Top Teams Cup, 37 in the CEV Cup). The players who have played the most are Emanuele Birarelli and Massimo Colaci (who have been on the court 38% of the time - 345 out of 899), while Matey Kaziyski holds the record for points scored (5,062 points in 342 participations) and for the number of matches with the captain's armband on (212). The coach who has most often directed the team from the bench is Radostin Stoytchev (389 participations with 319 victories), while the opponent most frequently challenged at net is Lube (81 previous matches). Curiously, Itas Trentino will play its 900th match at home, where it played for the first time on October 22, 2000 against Padova, coached by Angelo Lorenzetti (3-2 victory).
THE OPPONENTS Vero Volley Monza arrives in Trento at the end of a disappointing week for the first time in the regular season. Wednesday night's three-set home loss to Civitanova forced the Brianza team to their first home stop, after climbing to the top of the SuperLega rankings in the previous round thanks to their ability to collect thirteen points in the first five days. Although a heavy setback for Lube, it does not change the significance of a very positive start to the season, in which Eccheli's team gained access to the final of the first trophy of the season (the Supercup), scored important victories against Modena, Ravenna and Piacenza and lost only in the tie-break in Milan. Among the protagonists, there's the new opposite spiker Grozer (immediately at the top of the best scorer and aceman rankings) and players such as Dzavoronok, Davyskiba and Galassi who have grown in step with the ambitions of the Lombard club. Serve (fourth in the tournament) and block (third in the championship) are two of the fundamentals on which the team relies the most, as demonstrated by the excellent individual performances shown so far by Grozdanov and by Dzavoronok and Grozer.
PREVIOUS MATCHES The two Clubs have already playes 19 official matches; the balance is clearly in favor of the yellow-blue team (17-2). The only victories of the Brianza team are related to two 3-2, always won in Lombardy: on March 4th, 2018 and on October 25th, 2020, in the last match played in Brianza. At the BLM Group Arena, on the other hand, Trentino Volley has always and only won: ten times out of ten official matches, with Vero Volley winning just seven sets. The last appearance in via Fersina for Monza is dated January 10, 2021; tie-break success for the yellow-blue team (25-16, 20-25, 25-17, 20-25, 15-13) with Lucarelli as mvp. The only previous event in the current season is related to the Final of the Del Monte® Supercoppa 2021, played last October 24th in Civitanova and won in four sets (11-25, 21-25, 33-31, 14-25) with Kaziyski (21 points) as mvp.
THE REFEREES The match will be refereed by Andrea Puecher (from Rubano - Padova, in Serie A since 2003 and international since 2013) and Andrea Pozzato (from Bolzano, official since 2004), respectively at their fourth and third matches in their 2021/22 SuperLega season. Puecher's last previous match with Trentino Volley dates back to April 7th (a three-set loss at home against Civitanova in the Play Off semifinals), while Pozzato's was the only one played between the two teams at the BLM Group Arena in 2021: January 10th, 3-2 for Trento.
RADIO, INTERNET AND TV The match will be broadcast live by Radio Dolomiti, network partner of Trentino Volleyball. The frequencies to listen to the regional network can be found on the website www.radiodolomiti.com, where it will also be possible to follow the live radio commentary in streaming.
The live streaming video on the OTT platform "Volleyball World TV" is also confirmed; service is not free. For further information on how to use the service, please see www.welcome.volleyballworld.tv/faq-it.
