Champions League, the identikit of Trentino Itas’ opponent

Berlin Recycling Volleys (Germany)
Defending champion of Germany, thanks to the victory of the German final Championship 2021 in three sets (3-0) against the historical opponents of VfB Friedrichshafen. In the palmarés of the orange-black team there are other eleven German titles (the previous one won in 2019), five national cups, Supercoppa 2021 won last October (3-0 against Francoforte in the final) and Coppa CEV, won in 2016 when to lead the team there was Roberto Serniotti. In Champions League instead the best result of all is the third place, achieved in the 2015 edition, when the Final Four was organized in Germany.
The previous matches against Tretino Volley are four, also counting the double match played in the quarter final of last edition (double yellow-blue success, 3-1 in Berlin on February 25th, 3-0 in Trento on March 3rd), on October 24th 2013 in Trento (3-1 for the yellow-blue team) and December 18th 2013 in Germany (0-3),the other two matches in archive (round phase of CEV Champions League).
The formation led by the confirmed French Trainer Enard changed a few aspects if compared to the past season: the opposite spiker is always the American Patch (already in Vibo), the setter is the Russian Grankin (ex Dinamo Mosca), laterally there is the French Carle (ex Vibo) and the Wing hitter of the national team Schott (ex Milan). In the centre, with Brehme often out because of injury, the regular couple during the round phase was the one made of the American Mote (x Friedrichshafen) and the other American Jendryk (ex Resovia), while the libero is the Argentinian Danai, back from a long experience in Padova.
At the moment in Bundesliga the team is in the first place of Pool A of the second phase, still undefeated, a position that will allow the team to arrive at the Play Off Scudetto as number 1 top of the league.
Starting six type: Grankin (p)-Patch (o), Carle-Schott (s), Mote-Jendryyk (c), Danani (l).
