Champions League, Lorenzetti: "Berlin, opponent of quality". Zenger: "What a challenge!"

“Berlin has already shown all its qualities in the group phase, winning Pool D and surpassing different times at home Zenit San Pietroburgo,” so declared the trainer of Trentino Itas Angelo Lorenzetti after knowing the result of the draw of the quarter final of 2022 CEV Champions League  that will see the yellow-blue team against the Champions of Germany. “Moreover, we will play the second match abroad, in a very heated environment that, as happened in the past, is able to boost its formation. In the first match that we have to play in BLM Group Arena we have to show, together with our supporters, that we are not beneath them, so as to play strong and motivated in Germany for the qualification of the semifinals.”
“I must admit that, on the eve, I strongly hoped for the combination with Berlin so as to be able to face as ex a Society where I spent beautiful years,” explained Julian Zenger, libero for the German team in the previous two seasons. “I am very glad to be able to face my compatriots. Lots of them are real friends. The facility and the environment will be heated, because they are living an exciting season, both in Germany and in Champions League, as well underlined by the two victories in an away game against San Pietroburgo. A difficult task awaits us, especially because we will play the second game abroad, but in this case there will be some German present that will support us: my family.”
