Kioene Padova-Itas Trentino 1-3, the match report

The match report. Itas Trentino is back at the Kioene Arena in Padua without Albergati (positive at Covid-19 since Saturday), with Podrascanin reported only for honor of signing, still struggling with problems of the abdominal rectum, and, at the last, also without Lavia (who is struggling with flu symptoms, but with a fast negative tampon). This is why the starting six includes Sbertoli directing, Pinali opposite spiker, Kaziyski and Michieletto hitter spikers, D’Heer and Lisinac middle blocker, Zenger libero. Padua with Zimmermann as setter, Weber opposite spiker, Bottolo and Loeppky in the gang, Vitelli and Volpato in the middle, Gottardo libero. The best impact is the Gialloblù, that with D’Heer unleashed on the net (one attack and two almost consecutive blocks on Bottolo), goes straight ahead by three lengths (8-5); Padua immediately returned to the waterline (9-8), before Michieletto with the service did not sink the shot again (14-11, home time out). In the second half, Kioene took little time to gain the score, taking advantage of Loeppky’s sharp service (18-18), then the mistakes of Michieletto and Kaziyski put the Venetians forward (19-21). Lorenzetti’s time and the rotation at the service of Sbertoli clarified the ideas of the Gialloblù (21-21), who then suffered the break point of Weber (22-24). Lisinac nullifies the first set and then with the service he builds the Trentino counterbreak (25-24); on the third chance it closes an ace of Pinali (27-25).
On the long wave of the success achieved in the first half, Itas Trentino also started in the second set (4-3, 8-5 and 11-6), taking full advantage of Michieletto’s creative streak, who puts down anything that passes over his head. Trento accelerates again taking advantage of the opponent’s mistakes (14-7), then shows a slight bending that keeps the Bianconeri on the rope (16-12). Lorenzetti’s time out is providential, because later the Gialloblùs comeback effective in the break phase, especially with the block (20-14, Michieletto on Weber) and with the service (direct point from Sbertoli), and quickly complete the work, already on 25-16 (double mistake in attack of Volpato).
After the change of field, Kioene revived with Bottolo’s service (immediately 0-4) and, later, also with Weber’s service when Trento had given the impression of being able to return to the race (6-7 and then 8-12). The second Gialloblù line continues to falter and the Venetians take advantage of it to push themselves to the maximum advantage (10-16). Lorenzetti’s timeout woke up his team (14-17), then it was again Bottolo to push hard from the nine meters and the set quickly ended in the hands of Bianconeri (16-20, 18-23 and 20-25).
The music doesn't seem to change at the start of the fourth partial, with Weber and Bottolo immediately effective on service (5-8); in the most difficult moment, Kaziyski starts again with the attack, well assisted by Sbertoli. Trento overtakes on 9-8, then gets a few more breaks (13-10), quickly recovered by the opponents (16-15). Itas Trentino raises its head again with Michieletto (19-16) and then closes the score on 25-21, taking advantage of the many mistakes made by the opponents, right in the final.
