Champions League, Trentino Itas wins the first round of quarter finals

A victory to turn page after the Final of Coppa Italia last Sunday in Bologna and to take a first step toward a new seasonal semifinal, this time in the European court. This was the double goal that Trentino Itas has reached this night, overcoming the Germans of Berlin Recycling Volleys 3-0 at BLM Group Arena in the first-round quarter finals match of 2022 CEV Champions League.
The team, trained by Angelo Lorenzetti, has shown once again all its compactness, defeating the Champions of Germany in an appointment that was anything but easy considering some reasons, first of all the last-minute absence of Lavia, who suffered from a micro-injury in the abdominals and now he will have to stay in the box for at least a week. With Pinali playing in his place in the role of “canonical” opposite-spiker, the yellow-blue team has immediately found the right dimension, winning the fight started in the first and third set and dominating the scene during the second set. It was thanks to the perfect performance in attack (53% of team) and at block (score eight times) and also thanks to the points of Lisinac (mpv at the end with 11 points and 69% at net beside a winning block and one ace), Kaziyski (11, decisive in the final) and Michieletto, best scorer of the match with 13 winning balls and high percentages in place 4. The performance and the wonderful result will be confirmed in six days, when the team will return to the German capital in order to move on to the next round (the penultimate) of the highest continental trophy; in order to get it, the team will have to win at least two sets in the first official match or at least the possible golden set at the end of the canonical match.
