SuperLega, on Sunday back at BLM Group Arena for the 25th round

SuperLega Credem Banca on field this weekend for the 25th round of the regular season. Itas Trentino will be the protagonist of the big match on Sunday, March 13th, hosting Allianz Milano at the BLM Group Arena in Trento. Starting bell is scheduled for 6 pm: live on RAI Sport +, Radio Dolomiti and live streaming on the OTT Volleyball World Tv platform.
HERE, ITAS TRENTINO Just one week after the previous match, in the Coppa Italia, the Gialloblù  faces again under the net the Milanese team in a very important match. The three points up for grabs are very important for Angelo Lorenzetti's team in the race for the top positions in the standings. Kaziyski and his teammates can simultaneously look up at the second place occupied by Lube (same points as Trento but one match less played) but they must also protect their current third place from Modena, which is three points behind.
"The recent three-set victory in Bologna against the same opponent should not deceive us - explained the Itas Trentino coach presenting the match - . It will be a very tough match, because Milan has offered great demonstrations of strength and compactness throughout the second half of the season, not only at home but also away. At the same time, however, I'm convinced that we'll be able to understand the importance of this appointment and play good volleyball, regardless of who's on the field, against us, also because we'll be able to count on the support of our fans, who have always been fundamental this season".
The Gialloblù coach will have to do without Daniele Lavia (minor injury to the rectus abdominis for the player from Calabria, who has already missed the European match against Berlin on Wednesday) and will probably confirm the starting six with Pinali on the field in his place in diagonal with the former player Sbertoli. The preparation for the match will be completed with training sessions this afternoon and Sunday morning.
For Trentino Volley, this will be the 39th official match of the current season, the 930th of its history, the 427th ever within its own walls, in which it will be looking for its 650th victory (the 339th at the BLM Group Arena, where it has always scored in the championship). On this occasion, Srecko Lisinac will be playing his 150th game in the Gialloblù jersey.
THE OPPONENTS After playing in the previous weekend the first historic semifinal of the Coppa Italia, Allianz Milano returns to play a SuperLega match, with the aim of securing fifth place in the standings, now very close. The team coached by Roberto Piazza needs a point to hit the target and it will try to get it on Sunday, in what will be a rematch of the game played a week earlier at the Unipol Arena. In the second half of the season, Powervolley has obtained six victories in nine games played and a total of twenty points for its ranking, a loot that has allowed it to climb two positions in the ranking compared to the first half of the season. Among the secrets of this excellent period in Milan is the fundamental of the block, where only Trento in the regular season scored more points (216 to 210), while playing one more game. Among the single players, we must underline the great season so far experienced by the U.S. attacker Jaeschke (eighth top scorer in the league with 320 points, eighth receiver and sixth attacker for weighted average) and by the middle blockers Piano and Chinenyeze, respectively first and fourth blocker.
THE PRECEDENTS  On Sunday, the nineteenth official confrontation in the history between Trentino Volley and Powervolley Milano will be played; the balance is 16-2 for the Gialloblù Club, with the only victories of the Lombards referred to a match played in Trento on October 15, 2017 (2-3) and in Milan, just under thirteen months ago (0-3, on February 3, 2021). In all the other six previous matches played at the BLM Group Arena, the Lombardy lineup has collected just two sets, losing the last matches played in via Fersina 3-0: on January 27, 2021 with scores of 25-22, 25-21, 25-21 in the quarterfinals of the previous Coppa Italia edition, on January 6, 2021 with scores of 25-18, 25-117, 25-15. In the two season matches already in the archives, Itas Trentino won 3-0 at the Allianz Cloud in Milan on December 30, 2021 (partials of 25-22, 25-18 and 26-24 with Kaziyski mvp and best scorer with 15 points) and, just a week ago, at the Unipol Arena in the semifinals of the Cappa Italia (25-14, 25-20, 25-20).
THE REFEREES The match will be directed by Maurizio Canessa (from Bari, in Serie A since 2009) and Rossella Piana (from Carpi - Modena, on the roster since 2005 and international since 2014), in their eleventh and tenth SuperLega appearances of the season, respectively. Canessa's last encounter with Trentino Volleyball was in the 3-1 win in Taranto on November 24, while Piana's was in the 3-0 home win over Cisterna on December 19.
TV, RADIO AND INTERNET The challenge will be a global media event, enjoying simultaneous live coverage on TV, radio and internet. On the small screen it will be broadcast by RAI Sport +, channel present on the digital terrestrial platform at number 58 with commentary by Maurizio Colantoni and Andrea Lucchetta.
