SuperLega, Milan bows in five sets at BLM Group Arena

Eight days after the semifinal of Coppa Italia 2022, played on March 5th in Bologna, Itas Trentino confirms its superiority against Allianz Milano and achieves a great seasonal result. This evening at BLM Group Arena, the yellow-blue team has in fact obtained a new success against the Lombard team, assuring in five sets the big match of the twenty-fifth turn of regular season Superlega Credem Banca. The two points achieved this evening, in the last home game of championship before the start of the Play Off Scudetto, are a particularly important result for Kaziyski and his teammates that, with the help of the defeat of Modena in Taranto for 3-1, have achieved the certainty to close the regular season at least at the third place in the ranking and leave a small opening for the second place, that must be fought for till the  end at Cucine Luve Citanova.
The result, on a closer inspection, has however satisfied both the formation, as with the point achieved, Milan assured itself the fifth final place with two match still to play. With more than two hours played, both teams showed their good conditions, despite the heavy absences of the two regular opposite hitters, Lavia and Patry. In the end, the home team won, boosted in the recovery from 0-1 to 2-1 by Kaiyski (21 points in three sets with 55% and 3 aces) and then to 3-2 by Michieletto, in the end mvo and best scorer with 27 winning points (5 blocks and 4 at service), that had a beautiful fight at a distance with the compatriot Romanò (25). Between the locals, Cavuto’s entrance was very positive (from the fourth set on the court). He achieved 9 points with 64% in attack.
