Play Off, Itas Trentino gains access to the play off semifinals with Lube

In the most important and intense moment of its season, Itas Trentino grits its teeth and doesn't let down the expectations, deservedly earning access to yet another Play Off Semifinal in its history. In the third and decisive game of the quarter-final series against Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza, the Gialloblù showed all of his character and class, defeating its opponents 3-0 this evening at the BLM Group Arena; just what was needed to qualify for their fourteenth semi-final ever and to give Cucine Lube Civitanova an appointment on Thursday 14 April in the Marche region, when the first challenge of the series will be played at 20:30 in a best-of-five format.
In order to obtain the pass and give the final push to the Piacenza team that nonetheless left with a round of applause, it was necessary to put in a lot of hard work and a very sharp service. Michieletto's excellent serve rotations (6 personal aces out of 22 serves and only one error - mvp for this as well) immediately put the opponent's ball change phase in trouble, directing each set in its first half. The Emilians didn't give up, regularly trying to keep the contest alive before raising the white flag in the decisive phases of the partials. This was also due to the fact that Trento could count on an excellent Lavia (best scorer with 15 points) and on the regularity of Kaziyski (perfectly recovered) and Sbertoli.
