Itas Trentino-Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza, the match #3 report

The match report. Itas Trentino recovers Kaziyski, who returns to cover the diagonal place 4 with Michieletto; Sbertoli is the director, Lavia the opposite spiker, Lisinac and Podrascanin the middle blocker and Zengeril the libero. Gas Sales Bluenergy responds with Brizard at setter, Stern as opposite spiker, Russell and Recine at the sides, Caneschi and Holt at the centre and Scanferla as libero. The start is characterized by two aces, one on each side, signed by Russell and Michieletto, who then prolongs his rotation allowing his team to go from 3-4 to 8-4, with the collaboration of Lavia's counterattacks (time out Bernardi). When the game resumes, it's the Calabrian hammer again to strike, this time with a block on Stern (10-6), before a mini break by the guests (12-10), immediately countered by the Gialloblù, with Sbertoli scoring with a block (14-10). Then, the hosts increase the advantage again (18-12), taking advantage of Lavia's streak at the net and Recine's errors (service and reception), before suffering another reaction of the guests led by Stern (from 19-13 to 19-16). Lorenzetti interrupts the game, but then it's the Slovenian player again who makes a big impression (20-18); Itas Trentino suffers, and is brought back to within one (23-22), then Michieletto and an error by Stern seal the 25-22 win.
On the wave of enthusiasm for the 1-0 home win, the Gialloblù get off to a great start in the second period: Lavia is merciless in attack, Lisinac stops anything that passes in the middle of the net and Michieletto puts his own spin on it, between attack and serve. At 8-2 Bernardi has already run out of time-outs, but it's still Trento that sets the pace and further extends it with Kaziyski and another ace by Alessandro (11-2). Piacenza tries to raise its head (13-6 and 16-10), relying on Stern, but Michieletto is still a fury from nine meters (two more direct points for 20-11). Kaziyski and his teammates easily manage the considerable advantage (21-14) and go 2-0 on 25-19.
The balance of power doesn't change during the third set, with Itas Trentino immediately incisive again with Michieletto and Kaziyski (6-2) and Gas Sales Bluenergy in difficulty in all the fundamentals but still fighting (10-6). The home team starts to struggle in reception and attack (14-12, Rossard's ace and Stern's block on Lavia) and Gas Sales Bluenergy really starts to believe in it. The new acceleration is signed by Lisinac and Kaziyski, who also score with a block (18-13). This is not, however, the cue that decides the match, because the Emilians come back to within one (19-18) with a double winning block on Kaziyski. Lorenzetti calls time out and clears the team's mind; Trento doesn't concede anything and flies to +3 (23-20) with Sbertoli's ace that is then quickly capitalized (25-21).
