Sada Cruzeiro-Trentino Itas 0-3, the match report

Here's the match report. There is no news as regards the team’s lineup; Trentino Itas gets on court for its ninth World semifinal with Sbertoli as setter, Kaziyski as opposite spiker, Michieletto and Lavia as hitter spikers, Podrascanin and Lisinac as middle blockers, Laurenzano as libero. Sada Cruzeiro, reigning champion and host, replies with Uriarte as setter, Wallace as opposite spiker, Vaccari and Lopez in position 4, Otavio and Saatkamp as middle blockers, Lukinha as libero. The yellow-blue team has the best approach, with the Serbian couple doing amazingly at block and in attack (6-3); Lisinac blocks Wallace again (9-5), making the opponents call a time out. When the game restarts, the pressure increases (12-7 and 14-8) thanks to Michieletto, Kaziyski and Lavia’s attacks, each one in the break point phase. On 16-9 Filipe Ferraz, Sada’s coach, has already called time out twice and made three changes (Oppenkoski, Rodriguinho and Rodrigo on court), but the situation did not change that much. Trentino Itas keeps on serving efficaciously (Lavia’s ace 18-10) and works well at block and in defense; the Calabrian hitter’s pipe (on double touch!) is valid for 21-12 and secures the first set early with a perfect performance by Lorenzetti’s team (25-13).
The game did not change at the start of the second set; Michieletto (break point in attack and ace) immediately led his team to 4-1. Sada was urged on by its fans to make a comeback; the attempt went through the hands of Wallace (7-6) and through Kaziyski's second-line error that ensured parity at 8-2. On 8-9 Lorenzetti calls time out and a few seconds later it's Lisinac's ace that reverses the lead again (12-11). A counter-attack by Kaziyski makes it +2 (14-12), but Wallace scores the new tie at 15; the further stretch is given by Srecko's slash (19-17) and Podrascanin's slash (24-20) on Lavia's serve. The outside 2-0 came on 25-22, after a Lopez service error following one of his aces. The third set began with a balanced score (4-4 and 6-6), broken up by Kaziyski's serve, which inspired two winning counter-attacks by Matey, Lavia and Michieletto (9-6). Sada didn't give up and with Lopez regained parity at 10-10 (Lorenzetti time out), but immediately afterwards Trentino Itas still had the quality to run away again (13-11 and 16-12), capitalizing on their serve (Podrascanin and Michieletto). The reigning champions attempted yet another comeback (16-14, Otavio's block on Lisinac), but that was the last straw on an evening that was otherwise all in Trentino’s hands: Michieletto (pipe), Lavia (block) and Podrascanin (block) secured the score (21-15). The 3-0 lead arrived on 25-17 with an ace by Podrascanin that definitively silenced the Ginasio Poliesportivo Divino Braga.
