Trentino Itas hits the ground running 3-0 at the BLM Group Arena against Karlovarsko

Trentino Itas immediately found out the way to turn the page and redeem itself from the Volleyball Club World Championship and get both positive results and great enthusiasm all in one shot. Tonight, two days after returning from Brazil, the yellow-blue lineup beat Ĉez Karlovarsko at the BLM Group Arena in occasion of the fourth turn (the first one of the second round) of the Champions League Pool D; a result allowed the team to qualify with two turns in advance to the Playoffs of the top continental competition.
Trento’s confirmation as one of the best teams in Europe, who will compete for the trophy in the single-elimination match, arrived right today because its success for 3-0 against the Czechs is not enough for the latter to go ahead Trento team, even if they won both last matches and the yellow-blue team lost: Kaziyski and his teammates will anyway be ahead because of a higher number of victories (that’s the first discerning element).
Lorenzetti applied a big turnover in order to achieve this goal and obtained the hoped response, especially by Gabriele Nelli (12 points with 73% in attack, a block and an ace) and Donovan Džavoronok (the only Czech player who was satisfied at the end of the game thanks to the 14 winning points, 73% at the net, 2 blocks and an ace). The two perfectly supported Alessandro Michieletto, who was already feeling the “World Championship vibes”: probably excited by the captain title that Lorenzetti and Kaziyski gave him for this occasion, he secured the match with 15 points (best scorer), derived from 58% in attack, three blocks and one ace, making it easier for his team that therefore obtained the immediate success, in just 63 minutes of play.

Below is the scoreboard of the match of the fourth round of Pool D of 2023 CEV Champions League, played this evening at the BLM Group Arena in Trento.
