Emma Villas Aubay-Itas Trentino 0-3, the match report

Match report. Itas Trentino arrived in Tuscany with a standard formation; the starting six proposed by Lorenzetti included Sbertoli (S), Kaziyski (O), Michieletto and Lavia as hitters, Lisinac and Podrascanin (MB), Laurenzano (L). Emma Villas Aubay responded with Finoli (S), Pereyra (O) Petric and Raffaelli in place 4, Biglino and Ricci (MB), Bonami (L). The yellow-blue start was immediately very determined; Kaziyski's block and an error by Raffaelli offered a +3 (5-2), which the guests kept without problems until 9-6, before suffering a heavy break by the hosts, who, with Pereyra on attack and Ricci on the block, drew level at 11. Sbertoli's block on Petric offered another outside break (15-13), then Michieletto counter-attacked for 18-15, a situation that advised Siena to take refuge in a time out. At the resumption it is again Alessandro-show (20-16), then Pereyra dunks in the net, facilitating the run to the victory of the first set of Itas Trentino that already arrives on 25-18 with a pipe of the left-handed number 5.The yellow-blue good momentum continued at the start of the second set (3-1 and 5-2), taking advantage of the many errors by the Tuscans, who struggled to find measures at the net. Michieletto was crucial (9-5), forcing Pelillo to run for cover (in Pinali).
The Itas former player immediately scores without, however, being able to reverse the trend (14-9); Trento is a runaway train: Lisinac scores with great ease, not only in attack, but also at the block and Michieletto is unstoppable on serve. At 18-9, Siena has already used up the two time outs at its disposal and its energy as well: Lavia and Kaziyski quickly score the few points the guests need to get to 2-0, at 25-13.
In the third set, the Emma Villas Aubay held its own until 7-6, also thanks to the cues of Pinali, who stayed on court after his appearance in the previous set, then the yellow-blue team took off with Michieletto (12-8), as always, and Siena did not reply anymore despite the many changes proposed by its coach: 16-12, 21-12 and 25-17, with also Podrascanin who is the protagonist of a long series at serve that made the match end early.
