SuperLega, on Sunday at the BLM Group Arena the 51st match against Perugia

It will not award a World Cup title or a qualification to the Champions League Final, as has already happened in the last twelve months, but Sunday's confrontation at the BLM Group Arena (6.30 p.m.) between Itas Trentino and Sir Safety Susa Perugia promises to provide excitement and a challenge of the highest level. The top two teams in the SuperLega Credem Banca 2022/23 regular season standings, the only ones that have so far participated in all the final stages of the competitions in which they were entered (Supercoppa, World Club Championship and, in a few days, Coppa Italia), will be playing each other. Angelo Lorenzetti's line-up is, by the way, one of only two teams that has been able to take the Umbrians to the tie break this season (Supercoppa semifinal in Cagliari, the other being Civitanova in the Final the day after).
The two clubs have already faced each other 50 times in official matches in five different competitions (Championship, Coppa Italia, Supercoppa, Champions League and World Club Championship); the tally is in favor of the Block Devils 23-27 thanks to nine victories in the last eleven confrontations; seven of these have been played in 2022 calendar year. Trentino Volley has retained the home court factor in fifteen of the twenty-one meetings played at the BLM Group Arena; the result that has occurred most often is Perugia's success in four sets (thirteen out of the previous fifty, including three at the BLM Group Arena). The current yellow-blue player who has played the most is Matey Kaziyski (20), while the overall player is... Simone Giannelli, who has played 34 times with the Trento jersey and eleven times with the Perugia jersey (total of 45). Second is Marko Podrascanin: 35 (20 with Perugia, 15 with Trento).
