SuperLega, Itas Trentino scores the first point against Sir Safety Perugia

The nineteenth turn of the regular season SuperLega Credem Banca 2022/23 confirms the invincibility of the top team Perugia. Tonight, they conquered the BLM Group Arena at the tie break and obtained the 32th consecutive victory of the season against Itas Trentino who, once again, fought tooth and nail and conquered one point in the rankings, the first one that the top team allowed an opponent to take.
Angelo Lorenzetti’s team played an extremely hard game in front of 4000 spectators, it had some peaks upwards (such as the first and fourth set success, manages with huge determination), and proved to be able to hinder the opponents many times, who in the end got the upper hand thanks to its service (11 aces) and to the Cuban-Polish couple as attack squad: Herrera Jaime (mvp with 25 points) and Leon (19).
For the yellow-blue team, the ones who showed off the most are Marko Podrascanin (4 points with 64% in the first half, two aces and five blocks) and Alessandro Michieletto (19 with 55% and three blocks); in double figure there is Kaziyski (16 with two blocks and four scoring-serves) and Lavia (10). Pace did also great, who took turns with Laurenzano in the second line starting from the third set.
Trentino Itas leaves the second place in the rankings to Modena (today against Taranto in a home game), and is now two points ahead. The race to the top place is still wide open.
