Pallavolo Padova-Itas Trentino 1-3, the match report

Match report. Itas Trentino returns Srecko Lisinac to the starting six more than a month after the last time (21st January in Civitanova Marche): the Serbian middle player is paired with his compatriot Podrascanin and completes a line-up in which Sbertoli serving, Kaziyski as opposite, Lavia and Michieletto as middle-blockers and Laurenzano as libero. Pallavolo Padova responded with Saitta serving, Petkovic as opposite, Takahashi and Gardini as hitters, Canella and Crosato as middle-blockers and Zenger as libero. At the start, the hosts push hard with Crosato's serve (1-4); it takes Trento a while to find their measures, but with Kaziyski's and Podrascanin's serves (direct ace) they find parity at nine and then take the lead with the same Serbian central (11-10). Padova didn't want it and reacted, taking advantage of a few yellow-blue mistakes: an error by Michieletto and a block by Gardini on Kaziyski gave the Venetians a new +2 (15-17), forcing Lorenzetti to interrupt the game. At the resumption, Petkovic signed the +3 (17-20); Itas Trentino reacted and with Michieletto climbed from 22-24 up to 25-24 in their favor, before surrendering 25-27 due to two direct errors at the net (Podrascanin and Alessandro himself).
The guests reacted after the change of court, finding greater effectiveness in the break point phase also thanks to Lavia's growth (7-5, 10-7). The Calabrese also signed the maximum advantage in the middle of the set (15-11), taking advantage of a very inaccurate reception in Padua. At the best moment, however, Trento went astray, returning to being very foul; Padua took advantage of this to climb up the slope twice (16-15 and then from 19-16 to 19-18). Kaziyski then takes control (21-18), well backed up by Podrascanin (block on Takahashi); the Kaiser scores all the remaining points that lead his team to a tie in the score (25-22).
The yellow-blue try to impose their law in the third set as well, but the breakaway attempt only lasts until 12-10 (previously 7-5) and is inspired by Michieletto. Padova replied with Takahashi (14-15), who continued to be unstoppable and forced Lorenzetti to spend a time out. At the resumption, Itas Trentino (with Pace on the court in place of Laurenzano as libero due to a wrist contusion suffered by the Calabrese at 7-5 - fortunately nothing to do with competition) changes gear with Kaziyski and the same left-handed number 5 (19-17 and 21-18), controlling the situation to the end to take home the period, which ends 25-21 again at the hands of the Bulgarian attacker. Pallavolo Padova tried their best to reopen the challenge in the fourth set; Petkovic led his team to the initial spurt (5-7 and 6-9), but Kaziyski once again leveled the situation with his attacks (9-9). Matey almost single-handedly tried to carve out the difference (16-13), but Petkovic was not satisfied and kept the locals running (16-15). The final rush of the set is tight: Michieletto protects the lead until 22-20, then Crosato blocks Kaziyski and even Alessandro himself for 22-24. Lorenzetti's team nullified three set points against the Venetians and closed out the third chance in their favor with the revived Michieletto from set four: 29-27 and three golden points for the standings.
