Kedzierzyn-Kozle, Lorenzetti: "We have chances for the return match"

"The team really put up a good fight in the home of the defending champion team," declared Trentino Itas coach Angelo Lorenzetti after the match; “It is obvious that if we look at the final part of the match, we regret not having capitalized on the advantage we had built up in the fourth set, when we found ourselves ahead 2-1, but it should also be pointed out that in the previous two sets we had instead played the opposite situation. Today's match confirmed how balanced and uncertain this quarterfinal can be until the end; today's result therefore allows us to have a few more chances ahead of the return match. We did everything we could, also taking into account the fact that we were facing such an important game only two days after the previous away match in Padua."
In nine days, Thursday, March 16th, at the BLM Group Arena in Trento (8:30 p.m.) the second leg match will decide who between the two teams will get to the semifinals for the third consecutive season. Before then, however, Itas Trentino will also have to play the last engagement of the 2022/23 regular season of SuperLega Credem Banca, facing Valsa Group Modena again in their own facility in the play-off for the second final place in the standings. The yellow-blue team will start preparing for the match starting Thursday morning, after returning to Trento from Poland late Wednesday afternoon.
