Champions League, Turin will host the Final: Saturday, May 20th at the PalaAlpitour

The 2023 CEV Champions League edition will end in Turin: the PalaAlpitour will host the SuperFinals on Saturday, May 20th.
CEV made it official today and highlighted that, as already happened in 2021 in Verona and in 2022 in Lubiana, on the same day and in the same arena, the female championship’s finale will also be played. It was built between 2003 and 2005 in view of the 2006 Winter Olympic Games, where it hosted the ice hockey tournament, the PalaAlpitour is a multi-use building and can host up to 14.350 seats; which is why it is by far one of the largest indoor sports facilities in Italy. It is located in the Santa Rita neighbourhood, in the Piazza d'Armi park, next to the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino and is ideal not only for events such as basketball and volleyball (it was the site of the 2018 Men's World Cup Final) but also for concerts and other cultural events. Throughout its over twenty-year history, Trentino Itas never played there; the only match the yellow-blue team played in Turin was on December 29th 2010 at the PalaRuffini, the second facility in the city, when the one-time Itas Diatec Trentino was defeated 0-3 by Cuneo in the annual edition of the Italian Supercoppa final.
For the four time in the last thirteen editions Italy will host the match that will award the continental trophy: after Bolzano in 2011, Rome in 2017 and Verona 2021, here is Turin 2023.
