Itas Trentino-Valsa Group Modena 3-0, the match report

Match report. Itas Trentino is back in front of its home crowd one month after the last previous match in a standard lineup; Lorenzetti in the starting six inserts Sbertoli at serve, Kaziyski opposite, Lavia and Michieletto hitters, Podrascanin and Lisinac middle-blockers Laurenzano libero. Valsa Group Modena responded with Bruno at serve, Lagumdzija opposite, Ngapeth and Rinaldi in place 4, Sanguinetti and Stankovic middle-blockers, Rossini libero. The start is vehement; the teams battle from the first exchanges (5-5) and only an ace by Podrascanin manages to break the balance (7-5). Then Kaziyski takes the lead (block on Lagumdzija and counter-attack) and Trento accelerates (10-6), forcing Giani to take refuge in a time out. At the resumption it is still shown of the hosts who further extend with Lavia at the net (12-7) and again with Podrascanin, who this time performs with an imperious block on Ngapeth for 16-10. Modena is on the ropes and Trento takes advantage to increase the lead again (18-10) even after the guests' second break in the game. The end of the partial came quickly (21-14 and then 25-18), with Lorenzetti's team proving to be highly effective at side-out phase until the end.
Itas Trentino after the court change restarts with Michieletto's ace that makes it 7-5, but this time Valsa Group doesn't lose contact (7-7) and holds the point-to-point battle well, capitalizing on some local blunders at the net (10-11). The yellow-blue then pushed with Kaziyski's serve and attack and Podrascanin's first half on rebuild (14-12);then Michieletto took care of keeping the opponents at arm's length (17-15). In the final, Trento's new acceleration is signed by Lavia's pipe (21-16);then again Alessandro protects the lead until 25-20, which makes it 2-0 and the mathematical conquest of the second place in the regular season.
With the result acquired, Lorenzetti decides to rest a few members of the team, throwing into the fray Nelli for Kaziyski, D'Heer for Lisinac, Pace for Laurenzano and the Cavuto-Džavoronok pair for Michieletto and Lavia in place 4. Modena took advantage to make a better impact on the partial (3-6 and 4-7), but Itas Trentino stayed in the slipstream for a long time (9-11 and 11-13) thanks to Cavuto's net prowess. Sbertoli at the line hurts the host three-way receiving line and the breakpoints that put the locals back ahead (14-13). Nelli signs +2 (16-14) after Giani's time out, before committing two errors at the net that quickly reverse the situation (18-20). Then Cavuto's serves (also a direct ace) and Džavoronok's counterattack turn the situation around again (22-20); it's the decisive break, because then Trento on the wave of enthusiasm closes on 25-22 unleashing the ovation of the 3,500 at the BLM Group Arena.
