Pre-season, Saturday at 5.30 p.m. joint training with Prata di Pordenone

The men's team of Itas Trentino will take to the pitch of the Il Quotidiano Arena on Saturday afternoon for the fourth test match of their pre-season preparations - the third at home in the last eight days. After facing S. Croce last Friday and Innsbruck on Wednesday, the Italian champions will test themselves against Pordenone's Tinet Prata, an ambitious team playing in the A2 Serie. The meeting is scheduled to start at 5.30 pm and will take the form of a joint training session, as was done for the previous meetings with Kemas Lamipel and Hypo Tirol. It will be an interesting match for the yellow-blue team, who will have libero Laurenzano back for the match, which comes at the end of the seventh week of action, the penultimate week in which they will be facing a reduction in numbers. "The many friendly matches we play in this period give us very precise indications and interesting ideas for the work we have to do in the days that follow," explained coach Fabio Soli. "I hope that this friendly match can also offer us something in this sense. At the same time, it is important that we continue to make progress, not only physically and technically, but also mentally, something that needs to be built and consolidated at every opportunity".
Pordenone's Tinet Prata, coached by Dante Boninfante (Lorenzetti's assistant in Trento for three seasons), will arrive in via Fersina with a full squad and four friendly matches behind them, including the one against Piacenza (0-3),and the very recent one against Ljubljana (1-3, the team's next opponent in the Champions League group stage). The most famous names in the Friulian squad are opposite spiker Lucconi, hitter spiker Terpin (both former Vibo Valentia players) and libero De Angelis, who grew up in the Trentino Volley nursery (64 first-team appearances, including Club World Cup, CEV Cup and Italian Super Cup titles, as well as several Italian youth titles). The training session will be open to the public and will be broadcast live on Trentino Volley's YouTube channel (www.trentinovolley.it/trentinovolleytv).
