Training, on Saturday last test match with a reduced team: at 3:30 p.m. against Modena

While waiting to welcome back the six players, who until last week were in the Olympic qualifiers with their respective national teams (the first full-team training session is scheduled for Monday evening), Itas Trentino's male team continues its pre-season preparation and is about to play the last home test match.
On Saturday, October 14, at 3:30 p.m., the ilT quotidiano Arena will host a joint training session with Valsa Group Modena, in a rematch that will test the physical and technical condition of the team, eight days before the start of the “2023/24 Credem Banca SuperLega”. Exactly three weeks after the first match played in Schio (and won 3-1 by the Emilians), the teams will face each other once again, with similar rosters. However, unlike the first match, coach Fabio Soli will be able to count on Cavuto; Lanciano’s spiker has overcome the abdominal injury after fifteen days of recovery and should play on the court from the first set. "It’s good to have Oreste available again; especially in a test match that will give us further and important indications - confirmed the yellow-blue coach -. The countdown to the start of the season is almost done and having a rematch with Modena, after our encounter at the end of September, will show what progress we have made since then, both in technique and in the court. Playing under pressure is essential for the growth of our team and working with Valsa Group, which has been training with an almost full team since the beginning, is an important opportunity for us." After the match on Schio's soil, Modena had two friendly matches (against Cuneo and Catania) and - despite missing Rinaldi, Sanguinetti, Brehme and Bruno - will face Trento with an very competitive sextet: Juantorena (who formerly played in Trento), Sapozhkov and Davyskiba on the high ball and an experienced Stankovic at net center.
The joint training session will be open-door and will also be streamed live on Trentino Volley’s YouTube channel (www.trentinovolley.it/trentinovolleytv).
