SuperLega, Itas Trentino also wins the Adige derby at home in the regular season

The remake of the Coppa Italia quarter-final played just eleven days earlier, again at Trento's ilT quotidiano Arena, also rewards Itas Trentino. As it happened on January 3rd, the Italian Champions confirmed their superiority over Rana Verona by securing in front of their home crowd the match valid for the third round of the regular season SuperLega Credem Banca 2023/24.
Compared to the recent previous one, Fabio Soli's line-up had to reasonably struggle more to impose its law in a contest that offered great emotions in the opening and closing partial, both concluded in the photo finish. In the middle ones, Trento managed to lay down the law, especially in the block(16 wins, 7 only for Podrascanin's mvp), changing the inertia of a match that after the first set seemed to be leaning towards the Scaligeri. This was not the case, because the hosts were able to react angrily to the defeat in the opening period (the first set lost in 2024, after 20 consecutive wins); the redemption came above all from the hands of Rychlicki (best scorer with 25 points, three blocks and 59% at the net) and Michieletto (20 with 49% and as many blocks), who were extremely effective at breakpoint.
Verona's run after five consecutive victories was therefore halted by the tricolours, who instead continue to travel in the first class with their thirteenth success in fourteen regular season matches and still three points ahead of Perugia.
Below is the scoreboard of the match of the fourteenth day of the regular season SuperLega Credem Banca 2023/24 played this evening at the ilT quotidiano Arena in Trento.
