Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza-Itas Trentino 1-3, the match report

Match report.Itas Trentino comes to the PalaBanca in Piacenza with a full house, with coach Fabio Soli confirming the traditional starting six: Sbertoli as setter, Rychlicki opposite, Lavia and Michieletto as hammers in place 4, Podrascanin and Kozamernik as middle blockers, Laurenzano libero. Gas Sales Bluenergy lined up Brizard as setter, Romanò opposite, Recine and Lucarelli as hitter spiker, Simon and Caneschi as middle blockers, Scanferla as libero. Ready, go and it was Michieletto who immediately laid down the law, scoring two break points in a row (counterattack and block on Romanò) for the 4-1 external; the Trentino wall immediately worked well also with the central units and projected the yellow-blue to +5 (9-4) and then +7 (11-4). The ITALIAN CHAMPIONS' solo attack continues with Rychlicki on serve and Lavia on attack (15-7 and 20-10); Anastasi alternates the setters (Andringa and Leal in) and finds a small response, with Piacenza reaching 20-14 before finally giving way to the guests, who with Podrascanin go to the change of court 25-18.
In the second half, Gas Sales Bluenergy played Leal in diagonal with Lucarelli, and the move paid off because the locals got off to a great start from the blocks thanks to the two green-and-blue 4-pointers, who signed practically all the points of the stretch (from 4-5 to 4-10) with Simon serving. Soli tried to take cover by spending both time-outs and inserting Magalini in place of Lavia, but with no appreciable results. On the contrary, the yellow-blue went down by eight (11-19), before trying to raise their heads again with Kozamernik (14-19). It was too late, as Lucarelli and Simon secured the advantage, which remained substantially unchanged until the end (19-25, block by the Caribbean centre).
In the third set, Itas Trentino regained their composure and ran away (7-5 and 9-6). Piacenza tried to retaliate immediately (11-8), but the yellow-blue break point machine was on its way and passed through the hands of Rychlicki and Sbertoli (ribbon ace for 16-11). Trento also flew up to +10 (23-13), unleashed on the counter-attack with its opposite number; the 2-1 away came on 25-16, guaranteeing the first point of the contest for the guests.
The fourth set was of the same script, with the Italian Champions doing well to accelerate on 7-4 and reach 15-8 and then 19-12, pushed forward by their excellent break point phase. Piacenza alternated the directors but nothing really changed; Lavia with a series on serve, also topped by three consecutive aces on Leal, wrote the early word (23-13). The close came on 25-15, with an attack by Michieletto mvp.
