On Thursday afternoon at the Sanbapolis hall starts pre-season training
With the advent of the month of August, Itas Trentino men's team will begin its activities in the gym; the gathering of the European champions ahead of the start of the 2024/25 season is set for the afternoon of Thursday 1st, when the players not involved with the national teams and the entire coaching staff will meet at the Sanbapolis gym in Trento (the T quotidiano Arena will not be available for a few more weeks due to modernisation work) to begin the first work sessions.
At the disposal of coach Fabio Soli and assistant coach Adriano Di Pinto there will be six of the fourteen athletes on the roster defined at the end of the summer volleyball market; all the others are committed either to take part in the Paris Olympics (Flavio, Kozamernik, Laurenzano, Lavia, Michieletto and Sbertoli) or to take part in dedicated training camps with national selections (Bristot with the Italian Under-20 team and Gabi Garcia with the USA). The
new faces will be those of Romanian middle blocker Bela Bartha (who arrived in Trento on Tuesday afternoon) and libero Nicola Pesaresi, while guaranteeing continuity with the group that won the Champions League in May in Turkey will be Acquarone, Magalini, Rychlicki together with young Pellacani, promoted to the first team from the youth sector. Starting on August 5th, they will be joined by some of the most promising youngsters from the same youth sector, who will then be included in the Juniores team that will play in the Serie B, still under the name UniTrento Volleyball.
As usual, the half-hour before the start of training will be reserved for the media for a first informal contact (3.30 p.m.) and for early-season interviews.
