SuperLega, Itas Trentino continues its run in Milan with a 3-1 win

Victory and top spot confirmed. The SuperLega Credem Banca regular season continues to bring great results for Itas Trentino. Tonight, the European Champions claimed a win at Allianz Cloud in Milan, securing their third straight victory in as many matches played so far this season. This win came on the same court where, last April, they missed out on the Champions League qualification to the home team. With a full roster available again, today’s match was a completely different story compared to Game 4 of the Playoff Finals for third place.
Building on their improving physical and technical form, and with Rychlicki back in the lineup (subbing in for an excellent Gabi Garcia at the end), Soli's team managed to dominate in a hard-fought match, especially in the first three sets. They secured three crucial points, allowing them to stay at the top of the standings alongside Piacenza. In the first two sets, they showed the character of their best days to overcome the home team. They consistently came back and won in tight situations, thanks to a solid performance at the net (12 successful blocks) and their ability to accelerate during crucial break points.
Michieletto (23 points with 45% efficiency, two blocks, and three aces: MVP) delivered key plays, putting his team up 2-0. He also led the team in the fourth set, alongside the Puerto Rican opposite (18 successful attacks), which they won decisively after Allianz tried to bounce back in the third period.
Here's the match summary for the third day of the SuperLega CredemBanca 2024/25 regular season, played this evening at Allianz Cloud in Milan.
