Alessandro’s ace and the winning rebuild by the Luxembourgian opposite player allowed a further advantage (10-7), forcing the home team, the red-and-whites, to seek refuge in a time out. During the upswing of the match, it was the Portuguese team itself that increased the pace at break point with Banderò and Eshenko scoring the points of the tie, which came at a total of 15. Soli interrupted the game too and during the recovery it was Pellacani who gained another 2 points (18-16); the final rush saw Itas Trentino team always ahead (20-17 and 23-21). The second set ball was needed to take a 2-0 lead, at 25-23, transformed by Pellacani after a very long action.
During the third set, Itas Trentino team immediately took advantage (4-2) thanks to Flavio's block; Bartha was also on the field for Pellacani but it was always the Brazilian central player who made the difference.
