Fivb Club World Championship, Trentino Itas begins its adventure with a victory

The 2024 Club World Cup begins with a convincing victory for Trentino Itas. On the Brazilian morning, the European Champions started their journey on the right foot on their way to the annual edition of the world champion event, dominating in just three sets the Iranians of Shahdab Yazd for the opening match of the event and of Pool B in the first phase. A result that projects the gialloblù immediately at the top of the group standings and that potentially brings the Italian team to a victory away from qualifying for the semifinals of the round on Saturday. In fact, a victory has to be sought in one of the next two appointments, which will take place in rapid succession (on Wednesday evening the match against the Argentines of Ciudad,and between Thursday and Friday night against the locals of Sada Cruzeiro). The start of the eleventh world championship adventure for Trentino Itas was marked by an excellent performance in attack (64% team) and a very aggressive approach to the match, which immediately cornered the opponents. Shahdab definitely lost the first set, overwhelmed by the gialloblù break and by Lavia's excellent start (five of his twelve personal points were precisely scored in the opening partial), tried to respond between the second and third period. However, the Iranian team during the match never gave the impression of being able to hold a candle to Trentino Itas, who has sunk the shot with Michieletto (10 points) and in the center of the net with Flavio, prophet at home (9 points, with 78% in attack and two winning blocks).
