Uberlandia, Soli: "The Sada brought something extra and deserved to win"

"We knew that between us and the victory of the Club World Championship, we had to overcome an important obstacle represented by Sada Cruzeiro," admitted Trentino Itas coach Fabio Soli at the end of the final. "The Brazilians brought something extra and deserved to win the title, but we were in the game for a long time despite struggling. We didn’t play as we wanted; there were many inaccuracies, but we fought, and no one can take that away from us. It's a shame about the final result; we cared a lot, but this is a group that wants to win and always fights to do so, as it shows every day in practice. Let’s hold on to this certainty as we aim for our next goals."
On Monday morning, Trentino Itas will leave Brazil to return to Italy, where they will arrive on Tuesday, but they will not return to Trento. The yellow-blues will continue their journey directly to Cagliari, where on Thursday, December 19, they will take the court at 7 PM for the return match of the Round of 16 of the 2025 CEV Cup against Sport Lisboa e Benfica, whom they already defeated in Portugal earlier in December.
