2025 CEV Cup, Chaumont cedes in three sets to ilT quotidiano Arena

The last of seven official matches in February grants Trentino Itas men’s volleyball team qualification for the semifinals of the 2025 CEV Cup, reaffirming Trentino Volley’s strong international competitiveness, achieving this milestone in four of the last five European cup participations. The ticket to the final four of the second-tier continental competition was earned tonight at the ilT quotidiano Arena, with a dominant 3-0 win over the French team Chaumont VB 52 in the return leg of the quarterfinals.
The team coached by Fabio Soli confirmed its technical, tactical, and physical superiority, which was already evident in the first leg played fifteen days ago in the away match, thanks to a very effective serve and block, well supported by a strong attacking performance (56%). Rychlicki (14 points at 61%) and Michieletto (13 points at 53%) resolved the few delicate moments of the match, effectively set up by MVP Sbertoli. Thanks to a 3-1 win in France on February 11, the European Champions only needed to win two sets, but after securing those early on in the match, they still wanted to give their home crowd a new victory (the 14th of the season in 15 home games), showcasing those who hadn't yet played; Gabi Garcia and Magalini stood out (7 points each in the closing set), along with Pellacani (3) in a very positive general performance.
