Soli: "Our opponents play good volleyball, but we have the ability to be superior"

“The tough win we secured fifteen days ago in France helped us approach tonight’s match with the right focus,” explained Trentino Itas coach Fabio Soli after the match. “We had asked ourselves to play at a level from the start that we knew could put Chaumont in difficulty, and we succeeded. Our opponents play good volleyball, but we have the ability to be superior, and tonight we showed that from start to finish, even though we weren’t entirely precise in the first set in some blocking and defense situations. Once we fixed those fundamentals, we were able to accelerate and finish strong, qualifying while also saving some energy for our upcoming league match this weekend.”
For the European Champions, the next match is scheduled for Sunday, March 2, at the Kioene Arena in Padova for the 22nd and final round of the SuperLega Credem Banca regular season, with a start time of 18:00. The 2025 CEV Cup will return to the yellow-blue team’s focus on Wednesday, March 12, when the first leg of the semifinal against Ziraat Ankara will be played in Trento (date and time to be confirmed).
