Padua, Soli: "The guys did something really important; we should all be very proud"

"It's a huge satisfaction, first of all because we won the regular season by surpassing a monstrous team like Perugia right at the end," coach Fabio Soli emphasized at the end of the match. "In these months, we've gone through tough moments, and in some cases, we could have done even better, but in the last period, we really put everything we had on the court to try to achieve this result, and we did it. Of course, it didn't depend only on us, but tonight we were good at not getting distracted by other thoughts; we played looking only at our game, and in the end, we collected the 3-0 we needed to reach first place. I'm happy and excited because it was a very difficult and tiring regular season; it's true that winning it doesn't guarantee anything, but I think it's a nice satisfaction, and this group deserved it fully. The guys did something really important; we should all be very proud of it."
For Itas Trentino, now there's a whole week to prepare for the debut in the 2025 Scudetto Playoffs; Game 1 of the quarterfinals is scheduled at the Kioene Arena in Padua on Saturday, March 8, starting at 8:30 PM against Cisterna Volley.
