SuperLega: Regular Season won for the ninth time in the history

Thanks to the results that were concluded simultaneously this evening on the courts in Padova and Piacenza, Itas Trentino has already secured first place in the final standings of the 2024/25 SuperLega Credem Banca regular season.
This victory, achieved in the final stretch, grants the team the number one seed in the upcoming playoff bracket. This means that in any round of the bracket that they participate in (certainly the quarterfinals and potentially the semifinals and finals – should they qualify), the gialloblù team will be able to play three of the five scheduled matches in each series in front of the home crowd at the ilT quotidiano Arena (Game 1, Game 3, and the potential Game 5 decider).
For Trentino Volley, this marks their ninth victory in the regular season over twenty-five years of presence in the Italian top volleyball league, and their second consecutive win after the previous season’s triumph. The other victories came in the years 2015, 2013, 2012, 2011, 2010, 2008, and 2004. In four instances, the first-place finish in the standings also coincided with winning the Scudetto: 2008, 2011, 2013, and 2015.
