Playoffs, strong start for Itas Trentino in the quarterfinal series against Cisterna

The journey in the 2025 SuperLega Credem Banca Playoff Scudetto begins on a high note for Itas Trentino, who immediately secured a win in the quarterfinal series against Cisterna Volley. This evening at the ILT Quotidiano Arena, the yellow-and-blue team triumphed with a 3-0 victory over the team from Pontine, holding onto their home-court advantage and gaining the lead in the best-of-five series. The fourth seasonal win against the Lazio team came after a steadily improving performance from the European Champions. They maintained high intensity in a closely fought first set, decided only in a sprint finish, and then dominated the subsequent sets with increasingly effective and continuous play. Rychlicki delivered yet another outstanding performance, earning MVP and best scorer honors with 19 personal points (70% attack success, one block, and one ace). The entire team showcased efficiency in the break-point phase, contributing 28 points to their total of 75. Solid contributions from Michieletto (13 points) and the resurgent Kozamernik (9 points, including three blocks, one ace, and 83% first-attack success) also stood out. Game 2 will be played in Lazio in seven days, offering an opportunity to secure the first of three potential match points.
